Our fleet of 6 Solent rib boats are all based in Southamptons Ocean Village marina with fantastic access by both road and rail. However large or small your group is we can mix our fleet to meet your needs. All our rib boats are MCA coded with qualified skippers included in the charter price. Our smaller ribs are also available for bareboat charters.

Our standard charter day runs from 10.30am to 5.30pm or anywhere inbetween, if you need the boat for longer then give us a call, otherwise you can book any combination of these boats online right now.

The Redbay 8.4m rib boat has 12 seats and 300hp engine so is perfect for Solent charter days. She has a top speed of 40knts but also the sea keeping to make all her guests safe and secure. Her large rear bench is a comfortable spot for both younger and older passengers.

"Sunlight" - Redbay 6.5m Rib - £375 For 7 Guests

Just like her big sister our smaller Redbay rib is the perfect Solent rib charter boat. With 8 seats and 175hp engine she is the perfect boat for smaller groups and combines well with her big sister for large groups of guests. Both these Redbay ribs work well with yacht charters !

This boat is unique within the Solent, a family day rib boat. Licensed for 10 persons, so 9 guests and her Solent rib skipper. She is the most comfortable charter boat running on the Solent with speeds up to 40knts. This is the perfect family boat with her twin engines and automatic anchor system.

"Shamu" - Shark 7.7m Rib - £349 For 5 Guests

There is no other rib boat on the Solent. Capable of 75knts with 5 guests and her skipper. She is perfect for adding spice to a yacht charter or for the rib charter of a lifetime. If you have been on a rib before then try her. Beware, you might get wet.

The Ribcraft 5.85m is the backbone of many charter companies and RYA sea schools. She is licensed for 5 people, either on skippered charter for 4 guests or bareboat charter for those with the correct experience and qualifications. A smaller rib that copes with anything the Solent can throw at her.

Primarily we use her for our RYA training centre, but she is available for charter when Magpie has already been booked. Available for both skippered and bareboat charters, perfect for building your skills and confidence.

We also use these boats for Solent mileage and experience builders. If you have completed an RYA training course by would like some more time on the helm of a boat before going completely solo then these days are perfect for you. Details of these log book fillers will be coming soon.

These can be easily altered as required :    Full Day Charters 10.30am until 5.30pm.

If you are booking a charter day some way in advance we only need a £200 deposit to book your day.

When we have checked our charter events calendar or agreed a charter date and package with our office you will be asked to return to this page and pay your despoit.

You will also make your settlement payment via this page at least 28 days before your charter date. If it`s less than 28 days to your charter date then we will require full payment.

We take all our payments via a secure payment system that allows our customers to either use their Paypal  or Google account or just enter a credit or debit card. We also accept cheques made payable to "Solent Charters". Please allow time for cheques to clear before your charter date.

Solent Bareboat Rib Charters - Southampton

Solent Charters offers our pair of Ribcraft ribs for bareboat charter for students of our RYA training centre and clients how can prove their experience and qualifications meet our bareboat requirements. Powered by Suzuki petrol outboard engines and coded for full commercial use they will be available from our main Solent base in Southampton`s Ocean Village marina or any local marina such as Hamble, Cowes, Portsmouth, Yarmouth or Lymington.
